The image of the post below (done this way to avoid confusing new people here) was posted Jan 17, 2018. This was just after the domain name change from a barely-functional forceacademy.co.uk to a .us domain with a fresh install of the phpBB3 software. I had just returned after being overseas and busy, and it looked like a server upgrade had borked the old phpBB3 install, and the system admin was not responding to emails about it. Site activity was waaaay down and people were generally frantic. I proposed a plan Dec 31, 2017 and away we went.

This illustrates a time in the history of the Force Academy that I want us not to lose. As communities progress, there are times when things fall and times when things grow. It's just as useful to remember slow times as active times, and remember where we were trying to go. Show more
