I am new here, and am very interested in learning how Jedi teachings can be applied to one's life. I am a Christian, and hold dearly to my faith, but I have always been interested in the discipline and meditative techniques of the Jedi, and how I might use them in my own life to become even stronger in my own faith.

I have been through some difficult things, and the trauma affects me still, and I am working through getting victory over that. I got out of an abusive relationship less than a year ago, and the recovery process has been slow but I'm making progress every day, and hope to continue.

I do love Star Wars just for the lore and the story and all of that, but I am very intrigued by actually adopting some of their practices, and I hope I can learn from everyone here. I am familiarizing myself with the coursework, but I was wondering if mentoring ("apprenticeship") is something that happens in this community?
