If you have access to PBS (not sure if you can find it in other countries, but if you can it's a good series), there is a 4-part series they are working through called "Hacking Your Mind", it posts each Wednesday. You can find the link below.

I've learned a lot about the nature of choice from it. And in the wake of this volatile election year, I wanted to bring it up. As Jedi, we want to be both guardians of peace and defenders of those which cannot defend themselves. During the 2016 election cycle, I watched a lot of people bicker back and forth over who is the "Jedi Candidate" (shouldn't come as a surprise that many believed it was Clinton, and a small dissenting portion of the community believed it was Trump, while an even smaller group either believed it was a third-party candidate or that there is no such thing as a "Jedi Candidate".
The vicious nature of how people reacted when an opposing view was presented was echoed across social media and equally present within the Jedi Community. It wasn't until I started watching these videos on Brain Hacking and a Netflix documentary called "/theSocialDilemma" that I was able to better grasp why it was so hard to communicate to people that they needed to step back and look at the problem from less of a name-calling event, and more of a "they don't feel they have a choice" position.
Full Disclosure: I'm in the camp of "there is no Jedi Candidate", because why someone casts a vote for a particular candidate is highly complex.
This presents a problem, though. If Jedi are supposed to be guardians of peace, how can you be one in a world where you're on overdrive to weed out fact from fiction and relevance from irrelevance? More importantly, how can you be one if you're preaching is actually the wedge that is driving the divide further apart?
In light of the discussion, and things you learn from documentaries that talk about Brain Hacking and how it's helped create the current atmosphere in the Western World (because it affects more than just the US, it was part of the Brexit discussion and a variety of other political chaos), I'd like to open up the discussion on the following questions:
1) What role have you played in fueling it?
2) As a Jedi, what can you do to fight it?
