Role-Play Letters

Sparked from a conversation I had with David over a CS Lewis book called "Screwtape Letters".

This is intended to be fun, yet insightful.

The idea is that there's an evil dark lord (Krattun) telling his apprentice (Darth Extremus) trying to turn a Jedi Apprentice to the Sith. It's not just suppose to be fun, but also intended to be a creative means of showing easy targets that can cause a person to fall off the Jedi Path through a series of letters that build a story.

For example, the first letter is posted below and sets up what a mission for Darth Extremus, and an introduction to what he can do to begin seducing the Jedi Apprentice to the Darkside. I am setting this up and at anytime I could become Darth Extremus, and you could be Lord Krattun. It's just like building one of those stories where one person starts and someone else chooses the next iteration in the story. Anyone can join in. But the letter order should always be Krattun, Extremus, Krattun, Extremus, repeat.

Let's see where it goes. :D

Darth Extremus,

I have a new assignment for you. You are to attend the Peace Convention on Esnilar to attempt to win over the local government for the Galatic Federation. The two attending parties are the planet’s largest government and a neighboring tribe. The two are at war with one another because the tribe believes strongly that the government of Esnilar is causing destruction to their lands due to the use of modern technology such as ships and other forms of transportation. In truth, it’s really the Federation’s latest technology in orbit destroying their ecology. But I trust you will keep that information to yourself.

The neighboring tribe has resorted to extremist tactics, and it is believed that they plan to attack the Prince of Esnilar at the convention. The Prince, however, is planning his own attack against a suspected terrorist training facility on the tribe’s lands during the meeting as a display of strength. Neither one know of the other’s intentions.

Pretend to broker peace between the two. Protect the prince, but after the Prince launches his attack and the tribe attacks him, step in to remove the prince from his position, and establish a Martial Law for the whole of Esnilar.

You mentioned earlier on that you would like to bring Duena Aldross’s apprentice over to our cause. This sounds like a good opportunity for you. The Jedi seek to rid the universe of what they believe is corrupt. In seeking their own form of justice, they are bending the world to what they want it to be- and that’s where you need to focus on: His understanding of justice.

You are fortunate that neither he nor his master are aware of you being a Sith, use that to your advantage and ask for him to be your escort to Esnilar for the Peace Convention.
