The Focus of Illusion

Many times in my life, I have come to believe that I know more, that I have gone farther. That I have indeed broken down the walls that stood in my way and have been rewarded.

Recently however I have come to see the illusion I have built. Into reality.

We all have the capacity for insight, insight is not however an absolute truth, or even a tool for truth.

Insight is in fact only a tool for discovering what makes sense in reality, even false ones. Therefore it is not always a tool for truth.

Concentric Circles often hide one reality within another. All realities are real. However when you move from one reality to another, you may find that the rules do not apply in the new one and that indeed you may be punished for your lack of foresight in moving into this new area of your life.

Arrogance has long been my wheel within a wheel. People will always seek invincibility as long as they feel they have to continue to fight. When they believe they have found that invincibility and indeed the potency that matches, we enter a very dangerous area.

It is important for all of you to remember in your lives that no ground is TRULY stable. That all ground is built within another world, and as such, those of us who believe in absolutes are the ones truly damned in the next world because we have believed in the one true sacrilege.

We have all believed one thing only to be painfully disillusioned, as a Shadow now, I find that I am constantly focused on what is happening all around me and never assume to know where it is trully going. Only to focus all of myself where it moves, that way rather then trying to get ahead of life and finding myself running into a wall, I find the opportunities in every moment. Opportunities most of us will work our entire lives for can be found under the most insignificant stone if you have the humility to admit to yourself that you do not know what is beneath every rock and that you do truly know where the pot of gold is at the end of this rainbow.

We are vessel's. Not god's.

At the same time, we are never helpless. Being open to every possibility is the only gateway to transcendence that any of us can ever hope for.

Finding the bottom line, is akin to death.

This is a rather interesting piece of work. Rather akin to something that I am working on at the moment called The Abyss, which can be credited to the fact that I am taking the time to actually study Nietzsche and a lot of the other great philosophers of the past and present.

Illusion has an interesting way of shaping the shadows into reality. Not because it is real nor because we believe in it. In fact, the act of making and illusion manifest into reality simply has to do with the fact that we do not question and doubt that which is placed before us. We simply sit back and relax, believing that what we see is true or that what we believe in is true and correct. Merely looking at the singular facet of the Merlin stone through which we see our reality. Becoming comfortable and lazy within the heard that surrounds us every day that we exist within this mundane realm of reality. Never really wishing to break through the surface of the glittering stone to realize that which is inside - the true goal that we are shooting for can not be found within the glitter and the glamor. For truth is far from being beautiful, in fact, more often than not, it shall be startlingly ugly and harsh. The glitter on the facets of each great diamond are not the jewels that we seek after but rather that which is beyond them - what creates the glitter within the gold.

Arithion, Mage of the Mists.

I have discovered, for myself, that the true growth comes in learning why it is we see glitter in gold and in jewels.

Or for that matter in our beliefs about ourselves.

One of the highest forms of Magick I have ever contemplated is the ability to create your realities through will power, belief.

I think we all do this everyday, not only with assumption but with the FOUNDATIONS of assumptions...and indeed some facts.

Ah yes, the 'high' magic that is found within people who create alternate realities and can mold the shape of this one and others. Which is something that the mind does quiet readily in a most unusual, natural and unconscious way. Especially when one takes an existentialist perspective in conjunction with a sort of energy based philosophy of the self.

Our reality is the net result of the intercourse of two basic realms - one of form and one of force. At the begininng of time these two realms where superimposed upon one another and creatures of both worlds existed side by side with each other. The ancient stories of trolls, goblins, faries, gryffins and what not are actually rather true. Not exactly the allegory that most people take them for. Though it does create some rather unusual interpretations from that perspective.

At some point in time, within the far reaches of our past there came a diversion between the two worlds due to the beliefs and actions of man. Over the mellenia the two worlds slowly drifted apart though there still remained some form of connection between the two. For, if these two realms where to disconnect from each other neither would exist.

Because the differing sets of beliefs there will always be those that wish to separate these two world from each other. Separating light from dark, heaven from hell, good from evil. Then there are those that wish to re-combine the two worlds of form and force so that the ancient days of antiquity and magic might come into play once more.

Personally, I fall under the latter category as a mediator between the realms.

Arithion, Mage of the Mists.

Can any person perceive anything beyond personal perspective? I think not. We touch upon the absolute with our subjectively-gloved palms, processing it into our own reality through nerve-channels and neuron arrays. This is the paradox of subjective co-existence. On the one hand, we and all things are interconnected... tied to
